I am definitely pleased to see more African Americans getting involved on the political level. This term will have the most diverse Congress ever. However, I echo the general population’s sentiments — get in there and WORK! Don’t spend your time posturing and attacking the President. Reach across the aisle and work on legislation that will help the people that elected you. Because as the Democrats saw…as quickly as you can get in, is JUST as quickly as you can get voted out. Don’t take voters for granted! Congrats Congresswoman Love…savor the moment…but then get to work.

You do realize that this cuts two ways, right? Don’t just mock, saying “I’ve got a phone and a pen.” Actually do the heavy lifting and talk to those who have been elected by the American people.
Like you, I am doing the Blogging 101, and am exploring others’ blogs. Yours looks quite intriguing.
Hi! Of course it cuts both ways…compromise and communication is vital for any relationship to work. But both sides have to be willing to work at it. Come by soon for more intrigue 🙂
Intrigue? Or legal advice? After all, I am a card-carrying curmedgeon who is starting to blog, and that could get me into trouble. 🙂
Lol too funny. Just stay away from defamation of character and you’ll be fine! 😃
